Chester, SC:Nora Clayton Waters, 89,formerly of Chester, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Lanier Nursing Home in Valley, Alabama. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmie Cox officiating. The family will also receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Waters was born in Antioch, Alabama on January 4, 1923. She attended the schools of Antioch, Alabama, was retired from Springs Industries as a spinner and was a faithful member of Saluda Street Church of God. Mrs. Waters is the widow of Clarence A. Waters. She is survived by one son, Johnny C. Waters and his wife Elizabeth of Valley, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.
