Rock Hill Mrs. Nellie Mae Wolfe Roof, 81, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Green officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Roof was born October 19, 1932 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late Sam E. Wolfe and Bertha Mae Wilson Wolfe.She attended the schools of Chester County, was a homemaker, and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.Mrs. Roof loved playing bingo. She is survived by two daughters, Doris R. Hutto of Chester and Betty K. McInvaille and husband Roger of Kershaw; six sons, Ricky Roof of Chester, Danny Roof and wife Jackie of Blackstock, Donald Roof and wife Tracy of Blackstock, Tommy Roof and wife Lisa of Rock Hill, John David Roof and wife Terri of Chester, and Avant Roof and wife Betsy of Fairfield Co.; one sister, Joyce Hefner of Lando; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.Mrs. Roof was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse I. Roof; two sons, Jesse Richard Roof and Michael I. Roof; two brothers, Moon Tomberlin and Joe Wolfe; and one sister, Evelyn Musselwhite.
