CHESTER Mrs. Nancy Grant Raines, 67, of Chester died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester. The funeral will be 2:00 Tuesday at Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Clint Davis and Reverend Dwight Pearson officating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born May 13, 1941 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Raines was the daughter of Clifford Wendell and Edith Wells Lee Grant.She was a graudate of Chester High School Class of 1961 and aformer Chester County Auxilary Police Officer, a certified E.M.T. and a member of Eastern Star.She was retired from Springs Industries and a former bookkeeper for City Drug and a member of the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.She was a devoted friend, caring wife and loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Wayne Raines; two sons, Bobby Raines and his wife Robin and Billy Raines all of Chester, SC; one daughter Edie Raines Baker and her husband Danny of Blackstock, SC; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephen, Timothy, and Ryan Raines all of Chester, SC and Chasity Cunningham and Danny Baker, Jr. both of Blackstock, SC. She is preceded in death by a brother Terry Grant. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm Monday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester and other times at the home, 1030 Davis Drive. Memorials may be made to Chester A.R.P.
