With hearts full of love and faith, we share that Nancy Lois Love Ferguson was ushered into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 9, 2026, with her beloved husband, Frank, by her side.
She was a devoted wife of 72 years to John Franklin Ferguson, a beautiful testament to enduring love, commitment, and God’s faithfulness.
In addition to her husband is her loving family who will cherish her memory: daughters, Sheri Matheney (Earl) and Dana Williams (Pat) ; grandchildren Ashley Thomas (Billy), Adam Mullinax (Jennifer), Kimberly Matheney (Chris), PJ Williams (Jessica), and granddaughter-in-law Georgiana Williams (Josh); great-grandchildren Hannah Thomas, Eli, Abel, Luke, and Cam Mullinax, Sadie and John Finn Williams, Dylan and Noah Williams (anticipating the birth of their sister Sunny Williams), whose lives were deeply blessed by her love and guidance.
She is also survived by her dear sisters, Doris Boulware (Donald) of Chester, SC, Grace Litchfield of Winston-Salem, NC, Lynda Self (Norman) of Winston-Salem, NC., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three beloved grandchildren: Matthew Matheney, Josh Williams, and Dell Williams, as well as cherished sisters: Edith Smith, Louise Edmonds, Gaynelle McWatters, Shirley Young, tiny Carol Love and her parents David Alexander Love and Maude DeLyllian Ham Love.
Lois lived a life of quiet strength and faithful service. She found her greatest joy in her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also cherished her family, ensuring their needs were always met with love and devotion. She loved spending time with family, treasuring the memories of annual family reunions at the beach, celebrating holidays and accomplishments together, moments filled with laughter, connection, and many lasting memories.,
She also found joy in gardening, tending to creation with patience and care, reflecting the beauty God places in every season of life. Her servant’s heart was evident in her dedicated service at church, where she loved worshiping, giving, and supporting others in their faith journey.
Her life was a living testimony of Proverbs 31—strength, dignity, kindness, and a deep faith in the Lord. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is now home, embraced by Jesus, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at: Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 4619 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Chester SC, 29706 Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm receiving family and friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Chester SC in honor of Nancy Lois Love Ferguson, continuing her legacy of faith and service.
