Mrs. Esther Bell Drawdy West

Chester Mrs. Esther Bell Drawdy West, 85, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Bill Stallings officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. Mrs. West was born June 10, 1936 in Great Falls, SC and was a daughter of the late Ernest Joseph Drawdy and Macie Barfield Drawdy. She attended the schools of Great Falls and was retired from Springs Industries Katherine Plant. Mrs. West was a member of Chester Freedom Ministries and volunteered with the food preparation team of the church. She also volunteered with the Chester Ministerial Association Food Pantry. She is survived by two daughters, Tracey W. Roof (Mike) of Chester, SC and Terry W. Watts (Ed) of Columbia, SC; one son, Ezra N. West, Jr. of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Nicole Mason (Jon) of Pauline, SC, Meredith Yarborough (Brooks) of Gilbert, SC, Neely Quigley (Ben) of Atlanta, GA and Cody Frank (Alex) of Atlanta, GA; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband of over 61 years, Ezra West.
