Mr. Francis Dennis Boyd

Blackstock Mr. Francis Dennis Boyd, 81, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jon Hallman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday in the fellowship hall of the church. Mr. Boyd was born June 16, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Andrew W. Boyd, Sr. and Josie Brooks Boyd. He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Tech. Mr. Boyd was former owner and operator of Boyd Home Remodeling. He was a past member of Chester Masonic Lodge #18, York Rites and Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Brenda Parks Boyd; one son, Daryl L. Boyd of Rock Hill; one daughter, Denna Robinson of Chester; one stepson, Todd Peavy of St. Helenas Island; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, George Boyd (Adele) of Blackstock; and one sister, Janie Swygart of Blackstock. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Wallace and Tommy Boyd.
