Blackstock Mr. Morris Anthony Pearson, 62, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Chester Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Sheperd officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 17, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Pearson was born March 12, 1953 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Calvin Pearson and Lila Strickland Pearson.He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Technical College.Mr. Pearson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired as a supervisor with the SC Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife of more than 15 years, Jeanie Welchel Pearson; two sons, Brad Pearson (Jessica) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Greg Vaughn (Anita) of Richburg, SC; one daughter, Erin Nichols (Jason) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cheyanna, Beckham and Allison; and two nephews, Ian Baertlein and Jacob Baertlein. Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Pearson. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life, c/o Christy Wilburn, P.O.
