Mildred Gheen Woodle

Chester. Mrs. Mildred Inez Gheen Woodle, 89, of Chester, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Saluda Street Church of God with Reverend Thomas Ashley, Reverend Jimmy Cox and Reverend Eric Winstead Officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Tuesday. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Woodle was born November 28, 1922, in Chester, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie Byars Gheen and the widow of John Livingston Woodle. Mrs. Woodle attended Chester County Schools and was retired from Springs Industries. She was a member of Saluda Street church of God. Surviving Mrs. Woodle are a sister, Hazel Gheen Cato, of Beaufort, SC; a niece Sheila McAbee and husband Mike who were her caregivers, and several other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnnie Gheen, Fred Gheen, and Hubert Gheen, three sisters, Sadie Gheen Foutz, Lillie Gheen Burrell, and Betty Faye Gheen Fowler.
