CHESTER Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Childers Gaston, 89, was received into Heaven on Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home.A celebration of her life will be held 4:00 PMThursday, May 2, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Larry Parsons and Rev. Kenneth Lake officiating.The interment will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 1, 1923 in York County, SC, Mrs. Gaston was the daughter of the late Henry William Childers and Mary Magdelene Erby Childers.She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.She attended the schools of Kings Mountain, NC and was retired from Springs Industries.She was the widow of Harvey Wardell Gaston. She is survived by two sons, Harvey “Jimmy” Gaston and his wife Shirley of Warner Robbins, GA and Wayne Gaston and his wife Teresa of Chester; one daughter, Mary Jane G. Carter and her husband Leron of Chester; seven grandchildren, Langela Brown and husband Luther of Warner-Robbins, GA, Diane James and husband Mike of Douglasville, GA, Johnny Carter and wife Gail of Silver City, New Mexico, Lee Carter and wife Cheryl of Blackstock, SC; Richard Carter and wife Lisa of Chester, Robert Gaston of Chester and Elizabeth Carter of Blackstock, SC; thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
