Plains, Georgia Mr. Michael Scott Tinker, 59, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015, at West Chester Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Williams and Rev. Andy Logan officiating.Interment will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville, Georgia on Saturday, June 13, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12, in the sanctuary of West Chester Baptist Church, 1898 Pinckney Rd., Chester. SC. Mr. Tinker was born September 26, 1955 in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia and was a son of the late Charlie Scott Tinker and Frances Louise Pack Tinker.He attended the schools of Rossville, Ga. and was retired as owner and operator of Tinker’s Trucking. Mike also drove for Wilks Logging of Chester and J&M Trucking of Americus, Ga. and previously owned and operated Gold Rock Kennel in Chester and Plains, Ga.He also formerly worked for Cone Mills in Carlisle.He was a member of West Chester Baptist Church where he formerly served as Deacon and caretaker of the building.Mike was also a great outdoorsman and sponsor of Sportsman’s Quest.He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with others. He is survived by one sister, Terri Tinker of Chester; one step-sister, Gail Middleton of Americus, Ga.; three aunts, Eva Greenwood (Ronnie) of Chester, SC, Barbara Sutherland (Fain) of Plains, Ga. and Jennie Freeman (Frank) of Plains, Ga.; one uncle, Jimmy Tinker (Susan) of Augusta, Ga.; cousins and caregivers, Debbie and Mike Fiorillo of Plains, Ga.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
