Michael Thomas ?Mikey? McMurray, 34, died Monday, October 3, 2011. A funeral service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Compton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Mr. McMurray was born in Chester, SC on April 22, 1977, a son of Michael Leon McMurray and Debra Scoggins McMurray. He attended the schools of Chester County and the Pentecostal church on the Gayle Mill. Michael was a self-employed carpenter. In addition to his parents he is survived by one son, Michael G. McMurray of Chester, SC ; two daughters, Amanda Brooke McMurray of Chester, SC and Ashley C. McMurray of Rock Hill, SC; four sisters, Bridgett M. Banks of Richburg, SC, Chasity M. Ely of Winfield, PA, Patty Criscoe of Lancaster, SC and Amy Hinson of WI, numerous nieces and nephews and his grandpuppy Nabbygirl. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edith Scoggins andtwo cousins Shawn Wilson and Shane McMurray.
