Chester Mr. Michael Harold Greene, 57, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Palmetto Heart Center at Richland Memorial in Columbia, SC.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Lamb officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Wendy and Hall Atkinson, 1126 Williamsville Church Rd., Chester, SC and immediately following the service on Tuesday until 7:30 PM. Mr. Greene was born October 11, 1956 in Sweetwater, Tenn. and was a son of the late Riley Greene and Ida Wolfe Greene.He attended Daniel Boone High School in Jonesboro, Tenn. and was formerly employed with Springs Industries and Williamette.Mr. Greene was a member of West Chester Baptist church.He was a huge Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved NASCAR; he was a sports enthusiast. Mr. Greene is survived by his wife Wanda Mathis Greene; one daughter, Wendy Greene Atkinson and husband Hall of Chester; one son, Jonathan Greene of Charleston, three grandchildren, H.A. Atkinson and Aldon Atkinson both of Chester, and MacKenzie Greene of Columbia; two brothers, Jack Greene of Mountain City, TN and David Greene of Russellville, TN; and a special uncle, Carl Wolfe of Bean Station, TN.
