Michael Clyde Grant

CHESTER:Michael Clyde ?Moe? Grant, 66, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, December 19, 2009, at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter and Rev. David Sealy officiating. Interment will be in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Grant was born April 11, 1943, in Lockhart SC, the son of the late Clyde and Irene Cabiness Grant. He attended the schools of Lockhart, SC, and was a avid gardner and fisherman. He retired from A.M.E. Construction as an iron worker and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife Louise Roof Grant, five daughters Tammie Williamson and husband Tom of Chester, Debbie Mobley and husband Dwan of Chester, Charlene James and husband Joe of Chester, Michelle Grant of Chester, Donna Grier of Kershaw, SC, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, one sister Rickie Fowler and husband Don of Union, SC, one brother Keith Grant and wife Brenda of Simms, Texas. one special aunt Eva Jane Tracy of Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, December 18, 2009, at Barron Funeral Home 133 Wylie St. Chester, SC, 29706 and other times at the home of a daughter Debbie Mobley 616 Saluda Road, Chester, SC.
