CHESTER, SC: Mr. Maverick Ray "Mack" Dotson, Sr., 55, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Blue Ridge Gardens ofMemory in Pisgah Forest, NC. Born February 18, 1962 in Hendersonville, NC, Mr. Dotson was a son of Patricia Ann Norman Dotson and the late Sanford Ray Dotson.He attended the schools of Hendersonville, NC and was employed with Stephenson Farms in Lowrys, SC.Mac was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.He was also a sports enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of over twenty-seven years, Vonda Lea Dotson; one son, Ray Dotson of Chester, SC; one daughter, Tiffany Dotson of Chester, SC; one step-daughter, Destiny Scott of Odessa, TX; one grandson, Bodhi Moreland of Odessa, TX; four brothers, Keith Dotson (Teresa) of Cowpens, SC, Roger Dotson (Alice) of Hendersonville, NC, Kenneth Dotson (Felicia) of Rutherfordton, NC and John Dotson of Hendersonville, NC; three sisters, Barbara Rhodes (Bill) of Hendersonville, NC, Lisa Cline of Spartanburg, SC and Sherry Galloway (Ricky) of Lake Toxaway, NC.
