CHESTER: Mattie Lou Binns Orr, 89, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at her home. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Moss officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home. The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born in Calhoun County, AL on October 5, 1921, Mrs. Orr was a daughter of the late James William Binns and Maggie Thurmon Binns. She attended the schools of Chester County, was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Esskays Meats of Baltimore, MD as a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Orr is survived by her daughter, Lynn Clarkson and her husband V.C. of Chester, SC; five grandchildren, David Clarkson of Fort Wayne, IN, Jeff Clarkson and Robert Bradley both of Charlotte, NC; Stacy Melton of Chapin, SC and Shannon Brandon of Columbia, SC; four great-grandchildren, Joshua Clarkson of Fort Wayne, IN, Jessica Clarkson, Charlotte, NC, Drew McFalls and Madison McFalls both of Chapin, SC and one great-great grandson, Kodie Jackson of Charlotte, NC.
