Mary Pittman Wishert

Chester, SC: Mary Pittman Wishert, 87, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wishert was born in Lando, SC on October 19, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Steve Mitchell Pittman and Lillie Haggerty Pittman. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Revco Drug Store as a cashier. Mary was a member of Orr’s Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Fred C. “Freddie” Wishert, Jr.(Joyce) and Douglas Wishert(Ramona); two daughters, Jane Smith and Elaine Kendrick(Michael) all of Chester, SC ;Ten grandchildren; Twelve Great-Grandchildren and her furry babies, Buster and Snickers. Mrs Wishert was preceded in death by her husband of over 29 years Fred C. Wishert, Sr; three brothers, Nathan,Lawrence and Bruce Pittman and two sisters, Daisy Shugart and Florence Hart.
