Chester Mrs. Mary Connor Williams, 100, died Friday, May 13, 2022 at Palmetto Village of Chester. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2022at Capers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Williams was born in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late James Ervin Connor and Susie Jo Thomas Connor.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries. Coot loved her family and enjoyed being with them. Shewas a member of Capers United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Williams of Chester, SC and Tommy Williams of Chester, SC; one sister, Frances Strait of Chester, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Floyd Wiliams, five brothers, Henry, Jim, Ervin”Shorty” , Frank and Fred Connor, two sisters, Erline Huett ”Sis” and Maurice Hardin.
