CHESTER: Mrs. Mary Hurst Robinson, 83, went to her heavenly home Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center.The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Fowler officiating.The interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter Elaine and John Moody, 952 Meadowbrook Road, Chester. Born December 24, 1930 in Chesterfield County, SC, Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late Bennie Redmond Hurst and Glennie Dority Hurst.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Springs Industries as an industrial engineer technician.Mrs. Robinson was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and the widow of Robert L. “Bobby” Robinson and also preceded in death by a brother J.W. Hurst. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine R. Moody (John) and Kay R. Widener (Tim) both of Chester; one son, Robert L. “Robby” Robinson, Jr. (Jeanette) of Chester; four grandchildren, Michelle M. Dickerson (Michael), Jennifer W. Gaston (Jake), Timothy E. Widener, Jr., Melissa R. Wells (Chuckie); seven great grandchildren and one sister, Barbara H. Lee (Earl) of Foley, AL.
