Mary Mcguirt Ramsey

CHESTER: Mary McGuirt Ramsey, 97, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends also Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Ramsey was born in Chester, SC on February 12, 1918 and was a daughter of the late J. Fred McGuirt and Suddie Willard McGuirt and the widow of Martin L. Ramsey. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Coogler Oil and B.C. Moores. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Jerry Ramsey of Reading, PA; two grandchildren, Kevin Shaw of Charlotte, NC and Katie Shaw of Orlando, FL and several nieces and nephews.
