YORK, SC:Mrs. Mary Katherine “Kay” Hare Fowler, 59, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 in the sanctuary of Woodward Baptist Church, 1570 Ashford Road, Chester, SC.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at Woodward Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Hinson officiating.The interment will follow in church cemetery. Born October 9, 1957 in Chester, SC, Kay was the daughter of the late William and Mary Crosby Hare.She was a graduate of Chester High School and was employed with DHEC Vital Records in Rock Hill, SC.She was a member of Woodward Baptist Church.Kay loved gardening and animals. She also enjoyed playing her guitar and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of over thirty years, Charles Edwin “Chuck” Fowler; two brothers, Larry Hare and his wife Vivian of Chester, SC and Gene Hare and his wife Rhonda of Lancaster, SC; five nephews, Chad & Derrick Hare, Joshua & Adam Baker and Cory Hare and one niece Peyton Fowler of Fort Lawn, SC.
