Mary Beth Gwin Gunter

Blackstock, SC: Mary Beth Gwin Gunter, 60, died Saturday February 1, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, SC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2010 at Catholic Presbyterian Church with Reverend Wayne Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends also Tuesday at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Gunter was born in Chester, SC on July 2, 1959 and was a daughter of the late Charles F. Gwin and Barbara Mahaffey Gwin. She was a graduate of Chester High School and York Tech and was the deli manager of the IGA in Blythewood, SC. Mary Beth was a lifelong member of Catholic-Presbyterian Church where she served as church pianist and the secretary of the church memorial association. She is survived by her husband of over 28 years, Thomas A. “Tag” Gunter; son, Danny Spencer (Bobbie) of Marshville, NC; daughter, Daphney Spencer and son Thomas A. Gunter, Jr; five grandchildren; her sister Sarah Lea McLean and her brother Kevin Gwin (Jada) both of Blackstock, SC and several nieces and nephews.
