Mary Emily Estes Gregory

Carlisle Mrs. Mary Emily Estes Gregory, 83, died Thursday, October 28, 2021 at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Black officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Gregory was born July 17, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Lucius Estes and Catherine Dodds Estes. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was a homemaker.Mrs. Gregory was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by two children James Wayne Gregory (Pat) of Carlisle SC and Patricia Jean Gregory-Bates of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Bo, Ann, Shaun and Mike; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Austin, Hope, Faith and Jacob. Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Gene Gregory; two daughters, Deborah Catherine Gregory and an infant stillborn; two brothers, Alger Estes and Ainsley “Fat” Estes; one son-in-law, Skip Bates.
