Mrs. Mary Frances McKeown Searle, 79, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Hopewell ARP Church with Rev. Dwight Pearson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Mrs. Searle was born July 9, 1946 in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late Andrew O’Neal McKeown and Evelyn Frances Davis McKeown. She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Zenith Engraving as a graphic artist and worked with Vivian Hare at the Chester Tax office. Mary Frances was a vital part of the Chester Senior Center and was an avid baker being well known for her baking abilities. She grew up in Hopewell ARP Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her husband of over 29 years, Reynolds L. Searle; nieces, Schantee Campbell (David) of Richburg, SC and Martina M. Gainer of Summerville, SC; great-nephews, Justin Burch, and Ryan Huges; great nieces, Jade Gainer and Mia Huges and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew O’ Neal “Jack” McKeown, Jr.
