Heath Springs: Mrs. Mary Polly Mobley Douglas, 88, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at her home.A graveside service will be held at11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Blackstock Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Huey Mills officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside on Tuesday immediately following the service. Mrs. Douglas was born January 2, 1926 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Edward C. Mobley and Gussie Foutz Mobley.She attended Blackstock High School and was retired from Chester Sportswear as an inspector.Mrs. Douglas was a member of Blackstock Presbyterian Church.She loved animals and would make a home for all of the strays that crossed her path.She also loved God’s handiwork and made it her aim to preserve any tree she could. She is survived by one son, C.A. Douglas, III and wife Suzanne of Heath Springs; six grandchildren, C.A. Douglas, IV, Byron Kent Douglas, Brandt Douglas, Denise Douglas, Deanna Douglas, and Amber Douglas Plyler; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Douglas was the widow of Clarence A.
