Mary Diane Smith Dillinger

Mary Diane Smith Dillinger, 70, died Saturday, July 19, 2025, at MUSC Health Chester Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22 at Woodward Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Hinson and Rev. Hutch Hutchins officiating.  Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 21 at Barron Funeral Home.

Born March 4, 1955 in Chester, SC, Mary was a daughter of the late Wylie Smith and Sarah Gibson Smith.  She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from KJ's Market as a cashier.  Mary loved flowers and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Jeffery E. Dillinger; one daughter, Melissa Ann Dillinger of Chester; one brother, Wylie Smith of Chester; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
