News & Reporter: Paid with Picture CHESTER: Mrs. Mary Frances Miller Byars, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at First Free Will Baptist Church.The funeral service will be 4:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2017 with Rev. James Sanders and Pastor Ralph Byars.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Born September 7, 1953 in Chester Mrs. Byars was a daughter of the late George Miller and Frances Kee Miller Kennington.She attended the schools of Chester County and was a graduate of the Beaver Creek Bible Institute.She was formerly employed with the Cyclone restaurant where she worked many years.Mrs. Byars was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where she was a faithful choir member and a nursery and Sunday School teacher. She is survived by her husband of over thirty-eight years, Wayne Byars; one step-daughter, Lisa Wilson of Rock Hill, SC; one step-grandson, Tom Wilsonand his wife Katherine of Lancaster, SC; one step-great granddaughter, Felicity Grace Wilson of Lancaster; two brothers, Jimmy Miller of Chester and Bennie Miller of Lancaster; one sister, Edna Mae Cooper of Chester and numerous nephews and nieces who knew her as “Mur-Mur” and a family cat “Buddy”.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Whitesides and Martha Ann Miller and a brother Bobby Miller.
