Mary Ann Mabry Culp

West Columbia, SC Mrs. Mary Ann Mabry Culp, 82, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at Colonial Gardens in West Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2023, at Uriel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at Uriel Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Culp was born July 24, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Lawrence Mabry and Lucille Starnes Mabry. She was a graduate of Chester High School and worked for many years with Chester Foundry as secretary and bookkeeper. Mary Ann loved to bake and enjoyed working with flowers and crafts. Her grandchildren were her heart. She was a former member of Westside Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Heather Culp Smith (Michael) of Lexington, SC; two grandsons, Ellis and Graylenn Smith of Lexington, SC; and one sister, Linda Tomberlin of Rock Hill, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Jimmy Culp; a brother, Bobby Jo Mabry; twin sisters, Annette and Jeanette Mabry; and a niece, Genia Culp Dove.
