Marvin O'Neal Ferrell

Chester: Mr. Marvin O?Neal ?Snookie? Ferrell, Sr., 64, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at St. Paul?s Presbyterian Church of Chester with church missionary Patricia Johnson-Bates officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 ? 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Ferrell was born June 3, 1946 in Chester and was a son of the late Samuel L. Ferrell and Francis Purcell Ferrell.He was a graduate of the Chester High School class of 1966, served in the U.S. Army and worked for Springs Industries as a warp tender. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of St. Paul?s Presbyterian Church. He is survived by one son, Marvin O?Neal Ferrell, Jr. and his wife Ronnice of Rock Hill; two daughters, Michelle Ferrell Harper and her husband Duane of Fort Lawn and Chrissy Ferrell and her husband Trinity Tharp of Great Falls; five grandchildren, Mark B. Black, Trevor R. Ferrell, Shane Harper, Bryce Harper, and Tydris Tharp; and a brother, Sammy Ferrell and his familyof Chester. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Rev.
