Sue Jones Thompson

Martha Sue Jones Thompson, 74, died at home on December 19, 2025. All services will be private.

Born February 11, 1951 in Gainesville, GA, Sue was the daughter of Ben Jones and Jackie Jones. She was a graduate of Chester High School in Chester, SC. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Lowry’s 1st Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Hostess Committee, which was her passion. Sue loved her Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to her mother and father, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, John Thompson and brother Joey Jones.

She is survived by her one son, Ben Thompson, ( Lindsay ) of Gastonia, NC; three nieces, Katie Carter, Carey Smith and Jennifer Miller; one nephew, Jacob Jones; brother Jimmy Jones ( Janet ) of Blackstock, SC; and two sisters-in-law, Cathy Jones of Richburg, SC and Sondra Fulk of Columbus, NC.
