McConnells Mrs. Martha Susan “Sue” Broom Satterthwaite, 76, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at her home.All services are private. Mrs. Satterthwaite was born January 4, 1944 in Fort Mill, SC and was a daughter of the late Paul Broom and Elizabeth Moody Broom.She was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and retired from Performance Friction in Clover, SC.She was an iron worker and certified welder which she was very proud to be.Sue loved roses and enjoyed caring for them.She was “sassy” and “meant what she said”. She is survived by one son, Brian Lee “Bo” Satterthwaite (Dee) of McConnells; one daughter, Anita Marie Satterthwaite Lyon (Keith) of York; grandchildren, Austin Lee Satterthwaite of Clover, Troy Nicholas Satterthwaite (fiancé, Shianne) of McConnells and Tomesha Marie Lyon of York; two sisters, Lila Williams (Gerald) of Fort Lawn and Bunny Phillips (David) of Lynn, Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews; and her loving furry friends, Holly, Furby, Muffin & Charlie, Brody & Bella.
