ATHENS Mrs. Martha Jeanne Martin Nash, 74, died May 22, 2013 in Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Clements Baptist Church, 8690 U.S. 72 W, Athens, AL 35611 in Athens, Alabama with Rev Tim Anderson and Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating.The interment will be in Dement Cemetery in Athens, Alabama.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, May 24, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home in Chester, SC and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Clements Baptist Church in Athens, AL. Born December 26, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. Nash was the daughter of the late Houston James Martin and Annie Augusta Hunt Martin.She attended the schools of Jefferson County, Alabama and was retired as an Avon Consultant.She was a member of Clements Baptist Church where she was very active in church activities. Mrs. Nash enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was the widow of Bobby Gene Nash and Eugene Goode. Mrs. Nash is survived by one daughter, Ann Nash Dorsey and her husband Jay of Blackstock, SC; two sons, Dean Nash of Goodsprings, AL and Jimmy Wayne Nash and his wife Danita of Athens, AL; two grandchildren Samantha Posey of Blackstock, SC and Tyler Nash of Athens, AL; two great grandchildren, Kody Johnson and Clay Johnson both of Blackstock, SC; three brothers, Robert Martin and his wife Billie of Bay Minetta, AL, Elbert Martin of Pensecola, FL and Eddie Martin of Birmingham, AL; one sister, June Garner and her husband Kenny of Calera, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Martin and one sister, Mae Nicholson.
