Martha Pitts Ammons

Chester, SC:Martha Pitts Ammons, 80, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home with her loving family by her side. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Uriel Presbyterian Church with Reverend Don Simpson and Rev. Kenneth Compton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 ? 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Uriel Presbyterian Church.The interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs.Ammons was born in Chester, SC on May 9, 1931. She was a daughter of the late George Pitts and Fannie Wylie Pitts. Mrs. Ammons attended the schools of Chester County, was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church and was retired from Chester Sportswear as a seamstress. She was the widow of James Ammons. She is survived by one son, Mike Ammons and his wife Sheila of Ridgeway, SC; two grandchildren, Chris Fesler of Simpsonville, SC and Stevie Fesler of Durango, CO ; four great-grandchildren, Cole Fesler, Riley Fesler and Patrick Fesler all of Simpsonville, SC and Creighton Ammons Fesler of Durango, CO; three sisters, Joann Hall of Lake Wateree, SC, Fannie Bass of Chester, SC and Elsie Cutler of Sumter, SC.
