Marion Thomas Cash

Chester Mr. Marion Thomas Cash, 83, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday May 18, 2022 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter and Rev. Jon Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends form 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Cash was born September 1, 1938 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late Eugene Cash Sr. and Eula Slice Cash. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from the US Postal Service and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Cash was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene where he taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was president of Nazarene Youth International. He was also elected Sunday school teacher of the year for the district of SC Nazarene Church. Marion also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Claudia “Jo” Cash; two daughters, Denise Withers (Wayne) of Chester, SC and Karen Langley (James) of Chester, SC; six grandchildren, Alisha, Shaina, Devin, Corey, Kevin and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Cayden, Ian Abby and Zaylee; one sister, Doris Roach of Chester, SC; one brother, Kenneth Cash of Rock Hill, SC; several nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Cash, Jr. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 182 Pinckney St. Chester, SC 29706.
