CHESTER: Mr. Marion Wallace Brantley, Sr. 75, died, Monday, April 13, 2015 at his residence.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Lowrys with Reverend Michael Shaffer & Reverend Jerry Broughton officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Born May 25, 1939 in Chester, SC, Mr. Brantley was a son of the late Marion Gilbert “Doc” Brantley and Elma Beach Brantley. He was a graduate of Chester High School and also York Technical College. Mr. Brantley was a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam and also in the South Carolina Army National Guard.He was retired from Chester County Natural Gas Authority and was a member ofFirst Baptist Church Lowrys.Mr. Brantley was also a member of Chester Masonic Lodge #18 and Hejaz Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife of over fifty-three years, Patsy Stephenson Brantley; one daughter, Vicki Brantley Tunall (Mike) of Chester; two sons, Marion Brantley, Jr. of W. Palm Beach, FL and Tristian Watts of Chester; one grandson, Wyatt Tunall of Chester; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Thomas (Jesse) and Dianne Sisk (Sisco) both of Chester and Merle Brantley of Rock Hill, SC; one brother-in-law, Wayne Stephenson of Chester; three nieces, Kim Cooper (John John) of Chester, Patti Stephenson and Amy Brantley all of Chester; four nephews, Dusty Sisk (Jean Ann), Jason Thomas (Ginny), Lee and Glenn Brantley all of Chester; four great nephews, Dustin Sisk, Corey Cooper, Zack Brantley and Evan Sisk and two great nieces, Tori Brantley and Madison Rogers.He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Jimmy Brantley and one sister-in-law, JoAnne McGarity Brantley.
