CHESTER, SC Mrs. Marguerite Hester Ellis Blanchard, 91, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Uni-Health in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Howard Ellis officiating.The interment will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born November 13, 1920 in Bladenboro, NC, Mrs. Blanchard was the daughter of the late Ralsey Hester and Fannie Mae Pope Hester.She was a graduate of Bladenboro High School in Bladenboro, NC.She was retired from Springs Industries as a weaver and a member of Chester Second Baptist Church.Mrs. Blanchard was the widow of Marion A. Ellis and James H. Blanchard. She is survived by two sons, Howard Ellis and family of Rock Hill, SC and Ronnie Ellis and family of Catawba, SC; one brother, Bill Hester of Williamsburg, VA.She was preceded in death by one son Marion Paul Ellis, four brothers, Carl Hester, Julius Hester, Ervin Hester and Clyde Hester, two sisters, Kathleen Hickman and Lucy Kelly.
