Margie Davis Lawing

Chester Margie Davis Lawing, 89, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at her home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2018, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, December 16, at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Lawing was born January 22, 1929 in Mecklenburg Co., NC and was a daughter of the late Thomas Monroe Davis and Bertie Dunn Davis. She graduated from Paw Creek High School in Mecklenburg County and was owner operator of Margie Lawing School of Dance. She is survived by two sons, Joel Lawing of Chester, SC and Tracy Lawing of Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Lawing was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Don Lawing.
