CHESTER: Mrs. Margie Stroud Holt, 84, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Chester Regional Medical Center.A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born December 20, 1932 Mrs. Holt was a daughter of the late Grover and Violet Quinton Stroud and the widow of Billy Davis Holt.She was a graduate of the schools of Chester County and was formerly employed with Springs Industries and also Megastar and Lowrys Family Medicine.She was a member of Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Holt Oates and her husband Bill and Heidi Holt Lyles and her husband Mickey both of Chester; two grandchildren, Bradley Hardin Oates and his wife Anna of Blythewood and Brenton Davis Lyles and his wife Larissa of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Sam Hardin Oates of Blythewood and Finn Davis Lyles of Simpsonville; one sister, Ruby Stroud Byars of Lancaster, SC and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Holt to the Duke Cancer Institute to support cancer research for colorectal cancer.Checks may be written to the Duke Cancer Institute and mailed to Duke Cancer Institute, 710 W.
