Chester Mrs. Margaret Ann Mosley Rudder McCants, 87, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. McCants was born September 29, 1933 in Spartanburg, SC and was the daughter of the late Lonnie Mosley and Lona Mae Upchurch Martin. Margaret was a graduate of the schools of Cherokee County, SC and worked for over forty years as the manager of Highlander Laundry Mat on Columbia Street in Chester, SC. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her five children, Julina Bright, Doris Bright (Alfred) and David Rudder of Chester, SC,Bud McCants (Jane) of Winston Salem, NC and Paul McCants (Karen) of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren, Tonya Hunter (Michael) and Brandon McCants of Chester, SC , Tony McCants (Emily) of North Carolina, Chris Bright (Terri), Jared and Joshua Bright all of Chester, SC, Zach McCants and Katelyn Smith both of Winston Salem, NC, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers, Roger Martin (Vanessa) of Claremont, NC and Dean Martin (Charlotte) of Smyrna, SC; two sisters, Pam Fosterand Carolyn Martin (Lester) of Gaffney, SC. She was preceded in death by her first husband John C. Rudder and her second husband Hiram McCants; brothers, Olin Martin, Scotty Martin, Lee Gunn, Billy Martin; sisters, Brenda Martin and Shirley Ann Martin.
