Margaret Terrell Mccaslin Hoyle

Margaret Terrell McCaslin Hoyle, 110, died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating.  Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Hoyle was born January 29, 1914 in Maiden, NC and was a daughter of the late Charley Terrell McCaslin and Edith Terrell Hoover McCaslin.  She was a graduate of Lincolnton High School and retired from Chester Sportswear as a seamstress.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester.  Mama Margaret or "Mot-Mot" as she was called by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved the beach and was able to travel there until she was 99 years old.  She also loved cooking, baking, sewing and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Hoyle; her children, Robert T. "Bobby" Hoyle, JoAnne Hoyle Grant, Mickey Hoyle, Ailshie and Charles L. Hoyle; brothers, George Buck Womack and Kenneth Womack; sisters, Mary Black, Thelma Kistler and Harrie Lee McCarter; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by eight grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law.
