Chester Mrs. Margaret Helen Womack Catledge, 85, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Catledge was born July 22, 1929 in Charlotte, NC and was a daughter of the late Roland William Womack and Margaret Belle Cantrell Womack.She attended the schools of Charlotte, NC and Chester County, SC and was retired from Springs Industries after more than 50 years of service.She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church where she served with the greeting committee, the hand bell choir, and the visitation and outreach programs.Mrs. Catledge enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and painting and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Pat Cantrell of Conway, SC and Lynn Hood (Roger) of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, Melissa Hood of Knoxville, Tenn., Rodney Hood of Atlanta, Ga., Amanda Hood of Greenville, SC and Chris Cantrell of Chester, SC; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dot Odell of Chester, SC.Mrs. Catledge was the widow of Johnny Catledge.
