CHESTER: Mrs. Margaret Frances Hicklin Porter, 91, died Monday, March 1, 2016 at Brookdale Ebenezer in Rock Hill, SC.A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2016 at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Conn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born November 1, 1924 in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Porter was daughter of the late Frank and Martha Mary Kee Hicklin.She was a graduate of Oakley Hall School and Winthrop College.She was a retired High School teacher having taught in Andrews, SC.She was a member of Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William David Porter and two sisters, Esther Frew and Martha H. Sudol. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret “Meg” Walker and her husband Irby of Chester, SC and two grandchildren, Margaret Kelley Walker and William Rhett Walker both of Chester.
