YORK, SC: Mrs. Margaret Wages Edge, 92, formerly of Chester, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.The service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. David Sealy officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday at Barron Funeral Home. Born October 21, 1921 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Edge was the the daughter of the late Pierce S. Wages and Florence Bettybelle Hudspeth Wages.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Springs Industries.She was veteran of the US Army Medical Corp during WWII and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Levi Bernard “L.B.” Edge. She is survived by a nephew Ralph D. Douglas and his family of Chester; three nieces Sandra Benson Wylie and her husband David and family of Chester, Barbara Byars Carter and her husband Billy Joe and family of Chester and Robbie Wages Mathews and her husband Dale and family of Fayetteville, NC.She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
