Rock HillMr. Marcus Wilks Morrison, 88, died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Chambers officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Sunday in the church fellowship hall.Mr. Morrison was born May 3, 1923 in Chester County and was a son of the late James William Morrison and Lottie Irene Reid Morrison.He attended Richburg High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he served as a radio operator in England, France, Belgium, and Germany from May 1943 to December 1945.He was a retired farmer and mail carrier for Richburg and was also a member of Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hall Morrison; two daughters, Suzanne Morrison Harnois and husband Bob of Rock Hill and Patti Morrison Price and husband Bill of Waxhaw, NC; and two grandsons, Andrew and Steven Price of Waxhaw.He was preceded in death by six brothers, Leslie Morrison, Reid Morrison, Lewis Morrison, W.B. Morrison, Leland Morrison, and L.E. Morrison; and four sisters, Hazel M. Ligon, Macie M. Porter, Love M. Kobak, and Hope M. Gast.Memorials may be made to Mt.
