Chester Mr. Mack Donald “Duck” Thomas, Jr., 69, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at his home.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Golden officiating.Interment will be held in the cemetery of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 1989 ReservationRoad, Rock Hill, SC29704 with full Military Honors.The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 21, 1946, Mr. Thomas was the son of the late Mack D. Thomas, Sr. and Sara Hazel Winchester Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a graduate of the schools of San Quentin in California and attended York Technical College and he also received a Theology Certificate from Bible College.Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He was self-employed as a plumber and attended West Side Baptist Church.Duck loved racing , fishing, and softball, but his passion and dedication was to those Clemson Tigers. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Delores Whisnant Thomas; two daughters, Kimberly Thomas of Chester, SC and Michelle Thomas of Rock Hill, SC; five sons, Jeff Thomas,Michael Thomas,Victor Thomas all of Rock Hill, SC, Bubba Thomas and Brandon Thomas both of Chester, SC;fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
