Chester Mr. Luther Leroy “Billy” Ferrell, Jr., 73, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home with Patricia Bates andKeith Mobleyofficiating.Interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Ferrell was born January 8, 1943 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Luther Leroy Ferrell, Sr.He was a graduate of Chester High School where he played football.Mr. Ferrell was employed for 31 years as a supervisor with the SC Department of Transportation.He was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat” Ferrell; two daughters, Tammy Roberts and Kelly Hudson (Gene) both of Chester; and three grandchildren, Taylor Hudson, Madison Hudson and Buddy Roberts.
