Chester?Mrs. Louise McKeown Stroud, 78, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, March 19, 2010 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dale Roddey officiating.The family will receive friends Friday from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Stroud was born in Newberry, SCa daughter of the late Meador McKeown and Alma Dailey McKeown.She was a graduate of Lewisville High School and a member of Heath Memorial United Methodist Church.Mrs. Stroud was retired from Law Enforcement having served as school crossing guard and court bailiff. She was the widow of O.L. Stroud, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Dianne S. Foster and her husband Chuck of Chester, SC ; one son, Maxie Stroud and his wife Anna of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Lee Foster of Irmo, SC, Lisa Foster of Lexington, SC, Matt Stroud of Columbia, SC, Jake Stroud, of Chester, Sc; one great-grandchild, Carson Foster of Irmo, SC and one sister, Frankie Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA.
