Louise Dove McManus

Mrs. Louise Dove McManus, 94, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Helms-Gordon Residential Care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 31,2026 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Brian Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Friday July 31, 2026 at First Church of the Nazarene.

Mrs. McManus was born April 8, 1932 in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late James Neely Dove and Mary Clack Dove. She was a graduate of Chester High School through the GED program. She retired from Springs Industries after over 25 years of service, and she also worked with Dollie Roberts at the day care. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by two children, Carlisle McManus (Crystal) of Fort Lawn, SC and Wayne McManus (Barbara) of Richburg, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Essie Paul of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. McManus, Sr. and her son Charles L. McManus Jr.; granddaughter, Courtney Jean McManus; grandson, Andrew Kornegay and her brother, Neely Dove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Armenia Cemetery Association, C/O Barbara Adams, 1916 Grant Rd, Chester, SC 29706.
