Chester Mrs. Loretta Grace Harris Garrison, 82, died Thursday, January 19, 2017, at her home.A memorial service will be held at4:30 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Hinson officiating.Interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Garrison was born August 25, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC and was a daughter of the late Robert Harris and Blanche Bridges Harris.She was a graduate of Bullock Creek High School and was retired from Springs Industries.Mrs. Garrison was a member of Woodward Baptist Church and she loved to listen to gospel music. She is survived byone daughter, Loretta G. “Jeannie” McCormick (Jimmy) of Chester; four grandchildren, Shaun McCormick (Stephanie) of Union, Deidre Schell (Dwayne) of Chester, Stacie Garrison of Rock Hill and Gina Garrison (Jason Millen) of Richburg; five great grandchildren, McCormick Schell, Bryson Schell, Whitlyn Schell, Kynlee Millen and Jay Millen; one sister, Joan Hager of Mooresville, NC; five brothers, Junior Harris (Betty) of York, Jerry Harris (Amy) of Sharon, Perry Harris (Shirley) of York, Leo Harris (Bit) of Sharon and Steve Harris (Jean) of Chester; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by Her husband, Gene William Garrison, Sr. and a son, Gene “J.R.” W.
