Linda McManus Lindsey, 74,went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland Heart Hospital in Columbia, SC. . A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2022 at Chester Freedom Ministries with Reverend Steve Bishop and Reverend Bill Stallings officiating.The family will receive friends Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home and all other times at the home. Born July 23, 1947 in Chester, South Carolina,Mrs. Lindsey was the daughter of the late Ira B. and Marie Conner McManus; and granddaughter of the late, Fred and Carrie Conner; and the late Oscar and Ethel McManus.Linda was a graduate of Chester High School and worked for several attorneys in Chester over the years. Mrs. Lindsey also worked as the financial secretary for Chester Second Baptist Church (now known as Chester Freedom Ministries) and later cooked for the children of Horizons Christian Academy for several years. Linda loved her grandchildren, time with family, and cooking for everyone. She was everybody’s MeMaw and they knew her door was always open! In addition to her parents and grandparents, she is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Wayne “Timmy” Lindsey and her father and mother-in-law, William Lindsey Sr. and Doris Lindsey. Linda is survived by her husband of over 56 years William (Bill) Lindsey,Jr. son, William Lindsey, III(Bonnie), daughter, Melissa Lindsey (Robert Wishert), and daughter, Gina Jordan (Thomas); all of Chester; granddaughter, Caroline Lindsey, grandsons, Liam and Bryce Lindsey, grandsons, Ryan Jordan (Megan) and Tyler Jordan (Krista); all of Chester; great-grandson, Jase Jordan and great-granddaughter, Millie Brooks Jordan; both of Chester; , sister Janice Hunter of Rock Hill, sister Cheryl Horne(Dave Perry) of Virginia Beach, VA, brother Ira McManus (Lynn) of Rock Hill, brother Donnie McManus (Janet) of Rock Hill, and Susan Rexford of Springfield, Virginia.
