Greenwood, SC Ms. Linda Darnell “Nell” Levister, 69, died Monday, August 30, 2021, at Saluda Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.Interment will follow in Cool Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Blair, SC.The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Ms. Levister was born September 21, 1951 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Robert Davis Levister and Geneva Ramey Levister.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries Katherine Plant as a weaver.Nell was a member of Cool Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Robert Levister (Michele) of Chester; one grandson, Jamie Levister of Chester; five sisters, Carolyn Bowie (Butch) of Greenwood, Barbara Ann Freeman (Rob) of Greenwood, Shirley Branham of Lexington, Betty Smith (Maxie) of Union and Mary Mobley of McConnells; and numerous nieces and nephews.Nell was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Levister and Leonard Levister and two sisters, Sally Aragon and Gwen Slack.
